Hello all. Sorry about the break in new poems. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had time to work on this as much as I would like to. Plus the hard disk on my laptop here died on me, so I lost about 2 months worth of poem submissions. I'm currently about 2 months behind now in posting poems, so if you are itching to see your poem up, please be patient. Thanks.

A special note to our contributors:

First off, I want to continue to thank everyone who sends me poems for use on this site, without your continued submissions well, I wouldn't have much of a site here.

Many of you who submit poems to me ask my oppinion of them and ask for suggestions on how to improve them. I do not consider myself any great literary authority, in fact I am a web designer with a degree in civil engineering. In my oppinion, poetry is a purely subjective art. I know I mostly write for myself, and if others like what I write, great! So all you poets, write with your hearts (well actually that would be messy.. better stick to your hands) and keep those poems coming. Just remember, YOU are the best judge of your poems.

A note on security.
Unfortunately we live in a world where it is easier to steal someone elses work than to create your own. The World Wide Web is a wonderful forum for the exchange of ideas and works. It is this same feature which also inhibits us. Because of this, I cannot provide any protection for your works. There is no way for me to prevent a reader from copying a poem and claiming it for his or her own. While this seems very unlikely, I have recieved several letters reguarding this from concerned authors reluctant to publish their poetry in such an unsecure environment. In response to them I can only say that I understand their concerns. I still urge everyone to submit poems for consideration, but please be aware that they may be used without your or my knowledge. To those of you who might be thinking about taking a poem from here, please consider emailing the author for permission first. Most poets submit their email address with their poems and I attach an email link to the bottom of as many poems as I can. Please respect the works of other people.

I have completed the move of the old poems to the new archive system, so that is why there seems to be a bunch more old poems then there were a few days ago. The new system seems to be workin very well. I have added very limited search support...right now it only looks for exact matches to the queries, hopefully I can figure out how to do it up better.

I want to continue to thank you for your submissions, I realize that I'm not that good at returning email, but I've been sorta busy revamping the rest of the site. Look for correspondence to improve in the future.
